Appointments
Our staff will contact you following a referral from your GP or Specialist.
You can contact Dr Kaye’s rooms on 07 5353 7120 between 8.30am and 2.30pm, Monday to Thursday.
Please leave a message outside of these hours and we will contact you.
Our friendly reception staff will be happy to help you with any query.
All patients will need a current referral letter from their GP or physician to make an appointment.
Reminders
Dr Kaye’s practice uses SMS appointment reminders and a recall reminder system for patients. Recalls and reminders are optional, so please let our reception staff know if you would not like to be recalled or reminded.
Your first visit
The Cooloola Centre is in the heart of Tewantin. Enter from Poinciana Avenue and take the stairs or lift to the first floor. Dr Kaye’s rooms are in Suite 7.
Dr Kaye will listen to you and ask questions. She is likely to examine you and review any tests or medical records that you have. She will offer her opinion and explain about the benefits and risks of any procedure, if required. You will be able to ask questions at any time.
Dr Kaye regularly engages with other health service providers; specialists, allied health professionals and hospitals, if required we will provide sufficient information to plan and facilitate optimal care.
When you come for your appointment, remember to bring the following:
- Medicare or Veterans Affairs card
- Health insurance information
- Current medications and any known drug allergies
- X-ray reports, MRI’s, CT scans
- Test results from your GP or referring physician
- Completed patient details, health history and consent forms
Fees
Before your first visit, our staff will advise you of the cost of initial consultations and follow ups.
If you require a procedure, the fee structure will be explained. This will include the estimated cost for the procedure, hospital fee and anaesthetist fee, taking in account any rebates due.
Test Results
Please note that test results will not be given out over the phone. To discuss your results a follow up appointment can be made with Dr Kaye or with your GP.
Dr Kaye will never send results by SMS. If you receive an SMS asking you to click on a link to view results, please ignore it and contact our rooms on 07 5353 7120
After Hours Care
For any post procedural issues, bowel preparation issues or late changes to appointment bookings please call the endoscopy nurse in charge on 07 5455 9520.
Emergency contact can be made through accident and emergency at Noosa Hospital or by contacting your GP.
